Pain In Between Thumb And Pointer Finger

Persona non grata

In my list of places to visit include a good number of world capitals and New York in part (well, OK, this is not a capital, but it's like).

Only now, with my passport filled with Iranian visas (with a couple of Russian visas, Chinese and Vietnamese), I'm afraid (perhaps wrongly ) long enough to have to explain to U.S. Customs. So for this holiday, instead of New York, we went to Hong Kong this year.

And Hong Kong ... .. it's the opposite of Tehran: the sea, a thick layer of greenery on the surrounding mountains, shopping malls everywhere, ... and especially fun to hear people in the streets, see women without veils, short ... freedom!

After a few days, I had even forgotten that I lived in Iran. ... To pass through customs to go to China Continental (the real one, not that of Hong Kong which has a status particular).

And then, bam! The return to the harsh reality. The Chinese customs was obviously very exhilarated to have a passport full of visas Iranian hands. After asking me what I was doing in Iran (work), he calls his boss: "Irani" here, "Irani" by then ... and here I am escorted to the police station in the airport by a good half dozen guys in uniform. Very impressive I must say!

And I would say "birds of a feather flock together: between 2 countries known to apply human rights to the letter, I will go smoothly here!" ... bah and I am planted!

Well, after a thorough search of my bag (20 minutes to 2 anyway), the search ". JPG" in my PC (?), all without any explanation, I could still pass through customs.

So you think ... New York ... I try or not?
